Power battery is considered to be one of the key factors that determine the driving range and performance of electric vehicles. However, with the increase of service life, its performance will decline significantly, and the required charging time will be extended and the driving range will be shortened. Some insiders said that the recommended service life of the power battery is generally 5 to 10 years.

Electrode material is the "high value" part of the battery, which accounts for more than 60% of the battery cost, so the recycling value is high.Waste lithium batteries can be processed by professional equipment to extract high-purity copper, aluminum and other metals from electrode materials, and recover lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese and other precious metals.

As a large number of electric vehicles have been put into use, the number of power batteries to be replaced will soar rapidly in the near future, and the demand for environmental protection and resource reuse will grow rapidly.
