Operation of all vanadium flow battery energy storage system project
2023-01-02
The vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage system has been formally connected to the grid in Woniu Power Plant (50MW) for more than 2 years, and all operating indicators have met the design requirements. Energy storage power station plays an important role in tracking planned generation (energy storage), smoothing wind power output, emergency response of transient active power output, and emergency support of transient voltage. For Woniu Power Plant, the installed capacity of the wind farm is 45 MW, and the wind turbine generator is connected to the booster station of the wind farm by 35kV lines. The planned total capacity of the energy storage station is 5 MW/10 MWh.
The energy storage power station is composed of all vanadium liquid flow battery system, energy storage inverter, step-up transformer, local monitoring system, monitoring system of the energy storage power station and other equipment. Using the standardized and modular design concept, the 5MW/10MWh all vanadium liquid flow battery is composed of 15 352kW/700kWh all vanadium liquid flow unit battery systems.
