Solutions for battery recycling of electric vehicles

At present, the battery recycling industry of electric vehicles is in the initial stage. It is still exploring and growing in many aspects, such as recycling mode, system construction, market supervision, commercialization mode and so on. In order to better promote the construction of power battery recycling system, we might as well try to find solutions from the following aspects:
1、 Pay attention to the recycling demand in battery design. In terms of power battery recycling, in addition to optimizing the later solution, we should take the demand for recycling into account at the beginning of battery design. For example, the simple battery structure design is more convenient to improve the recycling efficiency and improve the automation degree in the power battery recycling process; Strict three code (i.e. battery code, vehicle VIN code and recycling code) integration system, combined with the introduction of traceability platform, ensures that the source of power battery in the whole life cycle can be checked, the destination can be traced, the node can be controlled and the responsibility can be investigated.
2、 Reasonably priced decommissioned batteries. At present, the pricing mechanism of retired batteries in China is not perfect, and there is no unified standard for the detection of battery capacity and quality of retired batteries, so it is difficult to form a standardized pricing principle. In the process of recycling retired batteries, there are also problems such as high recovery cost and insufficient profit space. Therefore, it is urgent and necessary to establish a perfect pricing mechanism for retired batteries.
3、 Strengthen the research and development of key technologies. Compared with developed countries such as Germany, China's current technical maturity and mechanical automation need to be improved in a series of processes such as testing, reorganization, disassembly and recycling of retired batteries. On the premise of ensuring safety and environmental protection, in the field of power battery recycling technology in China, we should continue to strengthen R & D, improve the efficiency of power battery recycling, improve the intelligence and automation level of production line, and indirectly improve the economy of power battery recycling.
4、 Establish evaluation criteria suitable for application scenarios. Before the retired battery is used in echelon, it must be tested and evaluated by professional institutions to determine whether the capacity and performance of the battery can meet the requirements of echelon utilization. Considering different application scenarios, the requirements for echelon battery utilization are also different. With the continuous enrichment of echelon utilization scenarios in China in the future, it is very necessary to establish evaluation standards suitable for application scenarios.
5、 Do a good job in top-level construction. In order to further accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry and realize the sustainable development of the new energy automobile industry as soon as possible, it is necessary to arrange the power battery recycling system from a strategic height to ensure the safe and effective recycling of large quantities of power batteries in the future. Therefore, the state needs to provide guidance on the recycling of power batteries, clarify the development direction of the industry, and strengthen the supervision and guidance of local governments, enterprises and relevant institutions by relying on the inter ministerial joint conference system for the development of energy-saving and new energy vehicle industry. At the same time, we should also carry out diversified incentives and actively explore sustainable business models.
6、 Improve recycling management standards. The recycling system involves many links. Improving management norms, improving relevant standards and raising the access threshold will help to promote the development of China's power battery recycling system towards standardization. At the same time, the formulation of standards for the classification, packaging, transportation, storage, echelon utilization and scrapped battery disassembly in the process of power battery recycling is also conducive to further strengthening the safety management.
